Sort Attributes

Hi Experts:

I need help to sort attributes. I have a list of attributues I need to assign to a product, but they are not sorted at all, making the search very difficutl. When I go to the Attribute List and right click to sort the Values on Ascending or Descending mode, I get the following error:

The attribute you have modified cannot be saved.

Press OK to abor the save, then press Escape to restore the attribute.

Duplicate attribute text value specified, Version 5.5 SP6 (5.5.63.69)

I am not event sure why I am getting this error if I am not modifying any of the values, just need to sort them to make the search easier.

Attribute names(multilingual names too) should have unique names

The same attribute you can link to different taxonomy items

(maybe you select taxonomy item and add attribute for it, but that attribute, with the same name already was created and linked to another taxonomy item)
