Dear all,

I have done ABAP instence in SAP NW EHP1 setup.

In the installation master has given link like----

SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 1 Support Release 1

SAP Process Integration

SAP Mobile Infrastructure

SAP Application Server ABAP

SAP Application Server Java

Standalone Engines

Optional Standalone Units

Software Life-Cycle Options

First I have choose < SAP Application Server ABAP> and installation has done.

afterwards I have select the <SAP Application Server JAVA> link to setup java instance. it s giving an error like "SAP system BIT is an ABAP or ABAP+Java system. connot convert this to a java standolone system "

How can i setup JAVA instence also.

Kindly guide me for setup JAVA instance.

Hi Skiruba,

In NW EHP1 system, you cannot install Java Add-in on Abap system. You have to install Jaya as a separate system and different SID from ABAP system.

Check SAP Note 855534 - Dual Stack and SAP Business Suite 7

You can install on same server on which ABAP lies depending on your Hardware.

As you said already you have install ABAP instance.

If i am not wrong , you requirement is to install java add in exisiting abap instance.

For such a sceanrio , start sapinst

SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 1 Support Release 1

SAP Process Integration

SAP Mobile Infrastructure

SAP Application Server ABAP

SAP Application Server Java

Standalone Engines

Optional Standalone Units

Software Life-Cycle Options

From above list select

Software Life-Cycle Options --> java add in for ABAP --> < your database > -->

Hi Skiruba,

As I stated earlier, you will not be able to install Java Add-in on system based on Business Suite 7. You have to install it as a separate system.

i have a question. I'd be much obliged if you could answer it

I already have an ABAP EHP1.

In addition to it i installed a Java Application Server with EHP1

Now the customer wants to have "Mobile Infrastructure"

What shoul i do ?

1- Delete Java Application Server

2- Re-execute Sapinst by selection option "Install Mobile Infrastructure"

Does sapinst install a Java Application Server by selecting "Install Mobile Infrastructure" ?
