Change the properties for the XPI Service: CPA Cache

Hi all,

I would like to apply note 804124 especially the following part:

" For the Adapter Engine, the approach is different: Change the properties

"SLD.selfregistration.httpPort"

"SLD.selfregistration.httpsPort"

"SLD.selfregistration.hostName"

of the J2EE service "SAP XI AF CPA Cache" (6.40, 7.0) or "XPI Service: CPA Cache" (7.1 and higher). Enter the fully qualified host name under which the Adapter Engine can be reached from all relevant network domains. Do this in the Visual Administrator of the J2EE Engine (6.40, 7.0) or NetWeaver Administrator (7.1 and higher). Then restart the applications "com.sap.aii.af.cpa.app" and "com.sap aii.af.app", or restart the complete J2EE engine. This triggers a new Adapter Engine self-registration."

I am using PI 7.10 and therefore Netweaver Administrator tool. Could you please tell me how to apply the note in question with NWA (i.e. which NWA menu to use, etc.)? Is there a guide for this new tool?

Thanks,

Filippos

hi,

You are correct, please use exchangeProfile to make necessory changes such that fully qualified name works.

This being CPA releated change, ideally required SAP recycle.

Hi fillippos,

Pls follow the below link for making changes in the parameter.

Link contain steps for making changes.

Some of the properties for XPI Service: CPA Cache can be modified online with the SAP NetWeaver Administrator under Configuration Management --> Infrastructure --> Java System Properties --> Details --> Services (alias: /nwa/sys-config

How to access SAP NetWeaver Administrator in PI 7.1 ?

Ans :- URL http://<PI 7.1 server host>:<port>/nwa is a URL of SAP NetWeaver Administrator

Hi Anil,

I did modify the property "SLD.selfregistration.hostName" to a fully qualified domain name, (i.e. fgsappitd.fourlis.net), as mentioned in sap note 804124 (performed also the stop and start of applications mentioned in the sap note. However, I still get the error message, whenever I activate my changes in the Integration Directory,

"Unable to notify Adapter Engine 'af.fpd.fgsappitd' that is affected by the data changes

HTTP connection to 'http://fgsappitd:50300/CPACache/invalidate' returns the status code '403' (Forbidden) in response"

It is strange because although I entered the full qualified host name, the error message still shows, in the message above, only the host name.

Just to mention here that when I open an interner browser and run URL 'http://fgsappitd:50300/CPACache/invalidate' it fails. If on the other hand, I open an internet browser an run URL 'http://fgsappitd.fourlis.net:50300/CPACache/invalidate' , it works OK. Therefore, I believe, the problem I get has to do with the missing full qualified host name.

Is there something else I need to do? Do I have to restart the system?

Thanks,

Filippos
