Uable to delete non qualifier

Former Member

Hi,

I'm have a problem when trying to delete a non qualifying field from a table. It says that the record is used somwhere else but I cannot see where.

This is what I do:

I'm trying to delete a non - qualifying field from MDM via import manager.

I map the field in import manager with excel sheet as source.

On the non qualifying field I do "Set Qualified update --> Update"

In "Set Matching Qualifiers" menu

--> New Links: Skip

--> Existing links: Deleted

I remove all matching qualifiers (is this correct, since there are qualifying fields as well?)

Next I run the import and go to data manager. All non qualifiers appear to have been erased from the main table records

The I go to the subtable where the non qualifying field is found and try to delete the actual values in the table.

Then it says that the record is used somwhere else...

Any suggestions?

Best Regards

Olof

Hello Olof Trönnberg

By default you cannot delete records from QUAL table which used(linked to) in main table

Another way for delete qualified records using Data Manager

1) In main table select all records were you plan delete QUAL filed values

2) Select QUAL filed - press "delete" and save

3) Select QUAL table

4) Select all fileds - press "delete" and save

DONE

Hi Olof,

1. Make a search on all the records by giving the search parameter of the value which you need to erase, by this you can check whether any records are still linked to the non qualifier value.

2. Sometimes records will not be refreshed properly, refresh it once & check.
