Problems visualizing BSP after system migration

Hi all,

I have problems to visualize BSP after migrate my BW 3.5 system from Windows 2003 Server x32 to Windows 2003 Server x64. In the same process I upgraded Oracle 9.2 to Oracle 10.2.

Problem only occur to users who try access via Internet Explorer 6.0. There is no problem with Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox. The error explorer shows:

Service cannot be reached

What has happened?

URL http://xxxxxxxxxx:8000/sap/bw/BEX call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.

Note

The termination occurred in system BWP with error code 404 and for the reason Not found.

The selected virtual host was -1 .

What can I do?

Please select a valid URL.

If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.

ErrorCode:ICF-NF-http-c:000-u:SAPSYS-l:S-i:xxxxxxxxxxxxx-v:0-s:404-r:Notfound

I try with some versions of kernel ICM (32 & 64 bits), but don´t work.

Service is Ok and running, in fact, users with diferent web browser can work.

Is there any configuration in this explorer version to do?? Any idea??

Hi Pablo,

Check whether host of BW system resolve from his system ( try to ping the server BW from the host of user where IE 6.0 is present )

If host is resolving, it mean it could be probelm IE , pls update the latest patch of IE 6.0 on users desktop.
