Former Member

Hello,

I am getting error SYSTEM_NOT_CONFIGURED_AS_XMB (System not configured as XI Integration Engine) when trying to call scenario. I have other scenarios running perfectly fine but only those scenarios which are using a Thirdparty business system is giving me this error. I checked all my configurations, one by one but didn't find any problem.

1. sldapicust -> OK

2. sxmb_adm - integration engine configurations -> OK (business role Integration Server)

3. sldcheck - OK

4. sm59 connections -> OK

5. Visual Admin JCo RFC connections -> OK

Your quick suggestions/help will be highly appreciated.

Also check this answered thread about SXMB_ADM configuration

One more thing, have you done the SXMB_ADM configuration other then your XI. If not then you have to mention in other business sytem which are taking part in communication with XI... Set the

Role of Business System ---> Appl System

Corresponding Integ. Server----> dest://<RFC destination of type H which will point to XI>

I have a third party Business system "OSYS" created with role Application System and "INTEGRATION_SERVER_PID" is assigned to it.

Settings for business system INTEGRATION_SERVER_PID:

Role : Integration system

Pipeline URL: http://dev:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry

Group: PUBLIC

Technical System: PID on dev

Client: 001 of PID

Logical System Name:

Settings on XI ABAP stack:

SXMB_ADM

Global Configuration Data

Role of Business System : Integration Server

corresponding integration server: http://dev:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry

Specific Configuration Data

ENGINE_TYPE HUB

IS_URL http://dev:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry

SM59

Type H connection

INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI

Target Host: dev Service No. 50000

Path Prefix: /dir/CacheRefresh

I hope this will help to solve my problem.

Jawed ,

Just make the entries of your Integration engine .

Like client , User , Pwd...etc.

after making the entries don't forget to restart the service.

and run the scenario..

Can you varify the below configuration in OSYS system.

Go to SXMB_ADM and set

Role of Business System ---> Application System

Corresponding Integ. Server----> dest://<RFC destination of type H which will point to XI>

I am a bit confused why I had to define type H connection in sm59 on XI server and refer it in SXMB_ADM for Integration Server. I had not done this before and my XI was running perfectly.

It doesn't have to do any thing with SICF as I didn't change any thing in SICF.

Any ways I am glad that my problem is solved and Thanks a lot everybody.

Jawed,

I haven't said to create rfc destination on XI, I mentioned in my previous reply "RFC destination of type H which will point to XI ". So this means you have to create RFC destination in OSYS system in SM59 which will contain the login details of XI system. And after creating this you will use the RFC destination in your SXMB_ADM in OSYS system.

Actually OSYS is a third party system that means no SM59 there, infact its a imaginary system that is created to make senarios more understandable.

And thats what my confusion is? Any ways its working and I am happy

But if any wants to shed light on this matter do so freely.

So you mean OSYS is outside of your landscape (outside of firewall). What is your scenario?

Hi Jawed,

Do the following...

1.Go to SM59---> check INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI

2.Goto Transaction SXMB_ADM----> Choose Edit --> Change Global Configuration Data ---> Choose Edit --> Change Global Configuration Data -

> Choose Edit --> Select Role of Business System: Application system ---> Corresponding Integration server: dest://<HTTPDESTINATION>.

U can check the solved threads for ur reference....

Hi,

For me still it seems a configuration error in SXMB_ADM. Have you done it in right client??
