How can I see log files in portal ?

can you please explain the step by step procedure for this log file.

Hi Sriram,

You can see the logfiles if you have the permissions to connect to NWA(Netweaver administartion)

http://localhost:portno/nwa

If you have the permissions you can go to System Management > Overview>Click on Monitoring link

Go to logs and traces, select default trace in the dropdown and there it will list all the logs.

Hi Saleem,

what u told i have done same thing...it is showing list of log files thanx.

how can i create the log file iview,

i mean , for example i am doing the webdynpro application and i want to see those log file errors as portal iview then how can i do that...

can u help me regarding this

you have different methods for a logger instance like

logger.infoT("");

logger.errorT("");

You can create the iView from the deployed portal component com.sap.portal.runtime.admin.logviewer. Then you can access the logs via Portal.
