Hi SRM Gurus,
We are using CCM 2.0 in SRM 4.0
When i wanted to approve the catalog, when i go into edit mode in master catalog, the approve and reject button is disabled. The user role is catalog approver.
Because of that iam not able to map the catalogs to the procurement catalogs. How do we go with it.
The master catalog default setting is set to "To be Approved", how do we chage this setting also.
Thanks in Advance,
Bert
Hi bert,
Default settings for catalog can be set in SPRO
through "Specify Default Value for Catalog Status".
Kind regards,
Yann

Hi Bert,
catalog approver role is not enough to be able to approve.
You have to create the approver in the catalog.
Goto main catalog schema tab.
Highlight for example the top node by selecting it (you will have a narrow)
On the right, you will have "manage approver"
Click on "add approver"
Enter user id
Save

Hello,
please check if you have approver set for Master catalog as Yann told. Also did you map content from Supplier catalog to Master catalog (special button)?
Normally you can use Master and Procurement catalogs. This is preferred option by SAP. Once you assign categories (check if yo unassigned subcategories, if any) and map content you will have your products in Procurement catalog.

Hi Yann and Gordon,
Iam able to see the products in the procurement catalogs. But when i define the catalogID in the "define external Web service", and when i click on the catalog link in the shopping cart, it says timed out.
What else could be the problem.?
Similarly when i updated the master catalog and tried to publish it, i get the error
1. "Error in search index update; discarding existing changes"
2."The exception occurred (program: /CCM/CL_PE_REQUEST_SERVICE====CP, include /CCM/CL_PE_REQUEST_SERVICE====CM00F, line: 138) "
3. Error when creating index attributes for catalog CCM_MASTER_CATALOG, locale EN-
4. Error when indexing catalog CCM_MASTER_CATALOG, locale EN-
5. Error in search index update; discarding existing changes
Thanks,
Bert
Hi Yann,
It is already installed. Iam able to publish procurement catalogs and also previously i was able to publish the master catalog. But after adding some more products, this issue is happening.
Similarly when i try to view the procurement catalogs in the web gui , it gives "times out error"
Thanks,
Bert
Hello,
all of your errors are connected to TREX. When you are publishing any catalog CCM is calling TREX for indexing of products.
When you click on catalog link in shopping cart you are starting Catalog Search Engine (CSE). Every action in CSE (even simple display) is search action and during that TREX is used.
Check in TCode SM59 if your TREX RFC connection is alive. Maybe somebody changed something on TREX.
