Problem creating a web service in NWDS Sneak Preview

Hi All,

I have successfully installed Sneak Preview Edition. I have also created a Java Class using the Java perspective. Now, if I try to create a web service for this class then I am not in a position to select the methods for the Virtual Interface within the web services perspective of NWDS. Can some tell me why this feature is not enabled within the Sneak Preview Edition IDE.

Divya,

instead of simple java project create a EJB and EAR Project. Then implement a Session Bean and expose the methods of this session bean as webservice.

This task is also working with sneak preview.

Hi All,

I resolved this. Its because of the shortcomings of NWDS SP11. I reinstalled SP10 and seems to work fine now.

The NWDS Sneak Preview doesn’t have SAP webservice support. There is Web services functionality that is available within WTP Web Service plugins. I'm not sure we have to recommend that functionality however I don’t know whether the engine runtime could cope with the stuff generated by pure WTP.
