WAD Error on save - PRTRFC_BASE

Hi,

When saving a template in the WAD, I get an error:

<i>Java system error: An unknown error has occured during portal communication.

Java system error: Bean PRTRFC_BASE not found.</i>

I am using Release 2004s, Patch 701, Revision 172.

Any ideas?

We have just restarted the Portal and this has solved the problem.

This was the first time that the portal had been restarted since we installed the latest (802) front end fix.

Hi,

This issue is mostly caused by incorrectly configured portal or not running JCo RFC Provider for the backend system.

For portal configuration please refer to notes:

888687: BEx Web Java: Analysis of communication/logon problems (Details)

If the portal restart did help, probably the JCo RFC Provider was stopped or corrupted.
