Password change

Dear All,

I want to change password of my production server. we are using SQL server and Window 2008.

Please tell me about all services of SAP and SQL where i have to updaet this password.

Also tell me procedure to update the password.

Did you mean SIDADM and SAPServiceSID?

Type services.msc in "run" of your windows server and then press "OK"

Check which are the services running under SIDADM and SAPSERVICESID. If you find any service running under the user you are changing password of, then maintain the new password there.

Additionally you can check if any batch job ( shceduled job of windows) are runnign with SIDADM or SAPServiceSID then you have to maintain the password there also.

Changing the passwords (If its SIDADM and SAPServiceSID) in production server? But why ?

If you wont have much knowledge on the impact after changing the password, do not do any R&D like this.

Any way, i wont recomend to changing the passwords of SIDADM and SAPServiceSID.
