Hello everyone,
A strange thing happens in XI when processing a message. First, the message terminates with an error:
2009-10-21 04:59:15 Error Setting the message status to DLNG failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: Error updating status
...then at exactly 8:00am, the message gets restarted automatically.
2009-10-21 08:00:00 Success The message status set to TBDL.
This happens regardless of what time the message failed.
First question, what causes this message to error? (This happens at random for no apparent reason).
And second question, why does the message restart at exactly 8:00am? Is there a configuration parameter where this is set?
I hope you can help us out!
Kind regards,
Glenn
PS. We're on PI 7.0 SP 15

Hi Siva,
Yes there are periodic jobs scheduled:
SWWDHEX
SWWERRE
SAPCONNECT ALL SEND
RSALERTPROC
RSQIWKEX
RSXMB_RESTART_MESSAGES
SWWDHEX
SXMS_DELAYED_MSG_PROC001
All those jobs run every hour, so if the message fails at 5am, then it should be restarted at the latest after one hour, right? The question is why only at 8am does it restart?
Also, why does the error occur in the first place? The message we send is a multi-message package.
I appreciate all your replies!
Regards,
Glenn
