HI....

What is the DIff b/w Direct and Indirect material??

While u order as Direct material the Acc.Assignment tab will be disappear....Why it is behave like that??

what they trying to say with that??/

Hello FLW,

It is similar functionaly when compared with R/3

Direct material: Are the ones which are not kept in store and consumed for production ,once you recevive the material

Indirect material: which are not used in production process or not a part of finished product.

what the reason behind it...??

Hi

how is understand is that the procurement of direct material is for inventory and plant is the good recipient.

when reservation are created from plant and good movement happend , then it require cost assignment.

say you might procure raw material for all department only specific department that consumes the material will be billed.

Yes. you are correct. when you click order as direct material plant and storage locations will appear and as you said account assignment will disappear and after creating PO check stock will increase .check the stock of this material

it is sap srm standard but your PO will be created in SRM only.
