Port for FTP?

Hi,

Can we FTP from SAP to any port other port 21? Is there any such limitation that we can FTP to only port 21 or we can FTP to any port?

Hi Sandip,

if the port is valid then you can use it for your applications. simply you can't use what ever you want. check the port and use it.

Pls check you have the sufficient authorisation on FTP server directory/file.

use telnet <ftp server> userid and PWD ,

use ls -l command and see you have sufficient authorisations.

only if you have sufficient authorization you can use that port
