Hi,
We have a connection over the Internet to let SAP connect to our SAP servers and provide support to us. We are changing Internet provider (and public IP address) this weekend.
I have read the following note
Note 587638 - Provider change for remote connection SAPNet - R/3 Frontend
So, do I simply need to provide the new IP address to SAP or is there something else to be done, like in saprouter?
Thanks.
Hi Eric,
If you going to Change the Public ip of your SAP router, then you have to just raise an ticket with SAP on XX-SER-NET-NEW.
Once you made changes from your side as well as SAP made changes on there side, you can confirm by stoping the starting the SAP router and check the logs whether everthing are working fine.
Also you can telnet the SAP server from you sap router server on port 3299
< you saprouter server> telnet 194.39.131.34 3299
once your are able to telnet it mean configuration both side has been done succesfully.
Changing the ip adress , does'nt require any changes to be done from sap router.
But if you are changing the hostname of sap router , then you have to do all the excise which you do for configuring the sap router.
Thanks
Anil
