Displaying name of the Used Query-View in a Web Template

Hello Experts,

I am using a Query View as Dataprovider in a Web Template.

Now I would like to display the name of the View.

But with a Text Element this isn't possible.

You can only display the name of the Query.

Is there a way to display the name of the used Query-View?

Thank you for your help.

Hi Dominik,

Whatever object you're using in the web template using the query view (table, chart etc),

select that ---> right click ---> Edit Object (Or properties)

There you will see a 'title' tab/field. There you can type the name of the query or view. In the report, it will always show that name on top. Hope that helps.

Hi Dominik,

you are right, web item Text Element only provides information on the query. It's not exactly what you are looking for, but maybe web item Query View Selection is worth a try... There you specify a list of one or more views and you are able to assign an additional description for each view.

Executing the web template you can switch between the views and make your selection based on the provided additional description.

Best regards,

Björn

Hi Sumit,

hi Björn,

thank you for your hints.

We use a template to enable users to create Views.

So its dynamic.

That way we don't know the Name of the Views in advance.

(So putting the text into 'Title' is not possible)

We already use the "Query View Selection". This works out for users that are able to see different Views. (Power User)

But is it also possible to display the Query View Name in an Item or with html methods for those templates where there is only one View (as dataprovider) we don't know in advance?

Thanks again.
