Passing Characteristic Values from Folder to Document

Hi All,

I'm Posting her for the first time.I'm currently working on DMS.

I Created a folder & assigned characteristics to that folder in EasyDMS.Now I want those charactristics values to appear as default to a DIR inside the folder.I created a FM Z_EASYDMS_GETDOCDEFAULTS after reading an sap note.

How can i pass characteristic values to the document using this function modue.

Can some one throw light on this please (some snippets or example code would be much appreciated.) .

hi

i would suggest to use the BADIs (easydms_main01) here while creating DIR you can try to put your logic..

Are there any bapis to copy characteristics from One Document to another document.

Hello,

While document creation its possible to copy characteristics from folder.

check FM: EASYDMS_GETDOCDEFAULTS / Z_EASYDMS_GETDOCDEFAULTS

notes: 1368109 / 686927 / 694748

you must update tables: CLASSALLOCATIONS & CHARACTERISTICVALUES
