When accessing the assign privilege task in the self services tab in the NW IDM UI, I can assign a privilege to a user. But I can't save this role assignment, there is only a refresh button present. Normally it should have the save button.
Anyone who knows what's going on ?
thanks in advance !
Hi Sven,
using the "assing privilege"-task as a self-service-task, there is only the possibility to assign privileges to yourself.
Have you checked the attributes?
Maybe they are "read only" or something else.
kind regards,
Achim

Hello
First of all I do not have any Assign Priviledge task in the imported SAP Provisioning Framework, so I can only guess.
Also I think SAP recommends to work with Business Roles instead of assinging privileges directly.
Finally: did you check "Submit button" in the Presentation-tab of your task?

Michael
If the Submit-button was unchecked then I think thats the solution.
It may take some time until the changes are reflected in the UI.
If I uncheck the Submit-button in any task it isn't reflected at once, too... I suppose it's due to caching.
If you cannot await this create a new task with Submit checked to be sure.

Michael
@Michael Thanks for the pointers, however I'm running into an awkward event when adding the submit and modify button through the Identity Center Management Console Interface. When I select the submit & modify button and foresee it with the appropriate caption/labels, I use the apply button to save the changes. However when I browse back to the same tab (presentation) for the Assign Privilege job, I noticed that the Submit & Modify button properties (Lable/Caption etc.) aren't stored, instead I just see no values in the text boxes.
anyone who has a clue?
These captions are Multi-language. See the 3-dotted-button on the right.
Maybe you have only filled in the English language but your browser / Portal uses a different one?
You can also add the "?NoCache" (or was it "&NoCache" ???) option at the end of the URL to prevent caching.
Hope this helped.
and still running into the same problem...
here some screens of my configuration:

perhaps you peers could figure out what's going on, anyone who ran into the same problem?
It even gets more strange when adjusting the following in the configuration of the task:
When I add (in the attributes tab) the attribute type (whilst using the MX_PERSON entry type) MXMEMBER_MX_PRIVILEGE the task is displayed as following:

Hi Sven,
I had exactly the issue you mention of having just the Refresh button in the self-service "Assign Privileges" UI task.
I've tried everything, and nothing worked.
Finally, I deleted the task, recretated it, making sure that both checkboxes ("Submit button" and "Modify button") were selected in the presentation tab, and the task looked ok with all three buttons (Save, Modify, and Refresh)!

Carlo

Hi
On you privilege 4 screen shot, the Assign-button is not checked. Try doing this.
Somehow it also seems, that the multivalue attribute MXREF_MX_PRIVILEGE has a presentation as single line. This should probably be a multiselect or the like.
Kind regards,
Heidi
