Hi Friends!
I've searched the forum but not found the answer to this.
When exporting from ALV to Excel the information transferred is a long row of metadata.
I wanted to find a table with the tablecontents that my ALV contains. This is a standard button "Export to Excel" - what do I need to do in order to have my ALV exported to Excel - That is my Table...not metadata!
Best regards
Henrik

Hi again!
in report SALV_BS_ADMIN_MAINTAIN I see the following:
ACTIONS
[x] Display [ ] Create
[ ] Change [ ] Delete
GENERAL DATA
[ ] Detailed Selection Client All * [ ] to [ ]
[x] All Users All * [ ] to [ ]
ALV DATA
[ ] ALV_GUI Excel version [ ]
[ ] ALV_Webdynpro Excel version [ ]
[x] All
I'm not sure what to change here, so I don't kill the ALV functionality outside the WebDynpro. I would want to select [x] ALV_Webdynpro Excel version " Excel (in MHTML Format for 2000/97)"...but this field are only in display mode...
Help please...
Best regards
Henrik
Hello
If you are using Excel 2000 or Excel 97 then you must follow note "Note 1064756 - ALV export: Support for Microsoft Single Web Archive".
After that you could use the program SALV_BS_ADMIN_MAINTAIN to set ALV_Webdynpro to " Excel (in MHTML Format for 2000/97)". Just mark create and chose ALV_webdynpro - Excel (in MHTML Format for 2000/97). If You only want to make it for some people or in just one client you must do that before clicking create.
It donu2019t change anything for the ALV in SAP-gui, and it is easy to delete you changes and do it again.
Try to do the changes only for you first.
Remember to close all your browsers before you try again.

Hi Henrik,
As far as we have used standard EXPORT button in WD ALV exports the contents and NOT metadata.
Are you sure it's exporting the metadata to the excel.
I hope you are using the standard ALV component SALV_WD_COMPONENT.
Please revert back in case of queries.
Please excuse me if I have understood the problem incorrectly.
Regards,
Sumit

Hi!
I've followed a tutorial for the usage of ALV... (maybe a wrong one)
For the webdynpro component (Used components)
Component use: ALV
Component: SALV_WD_TABLE
Description: ALV Component
On the View you find: (properties)
Component use: ALV / SALV_WD_TABLE / / "ALV component"
Component use: ALV / SALV_WD_TABLE / Interfacecontroller / ""
Result when pressing button export to excel
