Unable to start(logon) SAP server

Hi,

I am made a small change in instance profile(rz10) and when i try to logon into SAP server i am not able to.

The Dispatcher is not starting. In the subnode "ABAP WP Table" there are no entries. Previosly there used to be a few entries with status WAIT.

I am unable to analyze the Log because i am not a BASIS person.

Will i be able to login into server again? Please let me know what i should do to logon into the server.

Hi Vignesh,

All the parameters are except 1 whic is causing problem

vmcj/enable = on

vmcj/max_vm_heap_MB = 128

vmcj/option/gc/sharedWaterMark = 70

vmcj/option/ps = 1024M

vmcj/option/maxJavaHeap = 128M

just chaneg the parameter vmcj/max_vm_heap_MB = 128

it mean parameter will look like

vmcj/enable = on

vmcj/max_vm_heap_MB = 256

vmcj/option/gc/sharedWaterMark = 70

vmcj/option/ps = 1024M

vmcj/option/maxJavaHeap = 128M

Restart the application check the application

Let me knoe if any issue.

Hi Vignesh,

What changes you made in rz10 ?

goto to location on server :-

<drive>\usr\sap\SRD\SYS\profile

in above location you will get the file with name :-

SRD_DVEBMGS03_<your server hostname>

First take backup of above file i.e create 1 more copy of above file as like SRD_DVEBMGS03_<your server hostname>_old

Then open file in text editor , the comment out the link which you have added the rz10

for e.g parameter will look like in file as below

abcdefghij = 123456

After comment out it will look like below in SRD_DVEBMGS03_<your server hostname> file

#abcdefghij = 123456 ( just add # front of parameter )

Save the changes and restart the application , check whether application start or not

Let us know the status

Thanks for helping.

I am using SRM and when i used the browser to create shopping cart i got a dumo called "VMC_COMMNICATION_ERROR".

The dump analysis showed that there was a problem in commnication between ABAP and JAVA stack.

So i went to the instance profile and made the followinf setting in the instance profile.

vmcj/enable = on

vmcj/max_vm_heap_MB = 128

vmcj/option/gc/sharedWaterMark = 70

vmcj/option/ps = 1024M

vmcj/option/maxJavaHeap = 128M

Are these right setting? Is this setting causing the problem?

If these setting are not right, please let me know what vales i have to maintain,

I dont know how to revert to original instance profile because i am not even able to login into SAP.

What should i do ?
