Hi,
Does anyone know how could I block or lock a rental unit ?? So when someone creates a new contract and try to use this rental unit it will be impossible.
Tks in advance.
Marina.
A bit late but, this what you can do.
Create a user status profile, and create a status for lock, double click that status profile and select the following;
RE: Assign Subobject = forbidden
RE: Assign subobject = forbidden
Then make sure to make an available status
RE: Activate LO for RU - allowed
RE: Change object - allowed
RE: Change rental unit - allowed, set
RE: Create subobject - allowed, set
Release - allowed, set
hope it helps!

If you want to lock RU then change its status from Edit in the menu bar to 'Lock Master Data' but if you want to block then you will have to maintain system and user status through profile.
You have other option of changing the validity date of the RU and then lock the master data. This way this RU cannot be used in contracts.

Atif

Why do you want to do so?
Was the rental object created incorrect?
If so, why not deactivate the RO?

Hi Marina,
Perhaps creating a contract and assign to it would solve it. ( any object that created could be assigned to any nr of contract if its stated as 'Informal').
