Need to refresh Test environment from Production

Hi All,

I need to refresh our Test environment from Production.

Can anyone help me with the list of special tools from different vendors to do it?

Any kind of help is appreciated.

There are two more tools

Blue System Copy and Conigma QCOPY from Galileo Tools GmbH

Personally I haven't used then but have read about these tools as highly efficient and less error prone.

I need few questions to be answered by you:

1- What is your OS ,DB and SAP version

2- Size of db

3- R u doing System copy or System Refresh?

I can help you out to do refresh manually for Oracle DB.

If I may suggest, the brtools (brrestore command) is appropriate and more than enough if you just need to refresh a testing environment from production. To refresh the data you just to restore from production backup tape to testing sapdata, why need additional one if you have the right one.

we have categorized the task into 3 categories:

Database restore

Client Copy

Special tools

The third one includes tools from different vendors (for example: TDMS from SAP itself).
