'Assign to Me' function for Approver

Hi! May I find out what is the purpose of the 'Assign To Me' button/function found on the Work Overview for shopping cart approval?

When I selected it, the workflow item just stay with the 'In progress' status. Does that mean if I have more than 1 approver assigned to this shopping cart approval and if I click on this 'Assign To Me' function, it will only be available for me to process?

Yes. That is correct.

If there are 3 approvers for the workitem, 3 approvers can see the workitem in his/her inbox at this point of time. Then you set the workitem "Assign To Me". That means you are going to handle this workitem but decision will be made later point of time. The workitem is not visible for other 2 approvers.
