Meter Reading Estimation

Hi All,

I've an issue related to the Estimation of MeterReadings for the Domestic customers.

My client has migrated the move in readings in the system, however there are cases in which the actual move in reading is different from the Migrated reading.There is a customised development which is used to give the credit back to the customers in case the actual reading is higher than the migrated reading and also flags this reading as Zero consumption.

There is an issue in estimating the readings after this actual reading.When we're trying to estimate the readings for the next periodic date, sytem does not take the periodic consumption into consideration for estimation and shows the same reading as before with zero consumption.

What could be the issue with this?

Hi,

Two checks here:

1. Check if your installation is maintained as previous period: In this case, the estimation would resort to periodic consumption only if the periodic consumption is changed in the representative consumption period. From your example, it looks like periodic consumption change is beyond the representative period;

2. Check if your installation is maintained as period of previous year: In this case, periodic consumption is considered for estimation only if the estimation period immediately follows the change period.
