Hi

Header conditions are always manual. That means, they have to be entered manually in the sales order at Header level.

They do not contain Access sequence, so we do create condition records for Header conditions and Condition Technique does not work for those condition types.

Header conditions are of two types in terms of property.

One type of Heder condition is copied to each item irrespective of the net value of the individual item.

Example of this type of Header condition in standard is RB00.

If you entering RB00 as Rs.100/- in the sales order, then it will give Rs.100/- discount to each item irrespective of their net value.

So, suppose there 3 items in the sales order , then total condition value will be Rs.100/- x 3 = Rs. 300/- in the document.

Another type of Header condition is distributed proprtionately on the items in the document , on the basis of their net value.

Example of this type of Header condition is HB00.

Suppose, there is one order with two items M1 ( net vaue Rs.50/-) and M2 (net value Rs.200/-).

In this situation , suppose you have entered Header discount condition HB00 as Rs.100/-.

System will automatically, distribute the Rs.100/- proportionately on both item based on their net value.

So, M1 will get discount of Rs.20/- where as, M2 will get discount of Rs.80/-.

The discount amount and the condition value remains same, i.e Rs.100/- only.

In standard system, HB00 is distributed based on the Net value.

But, the basis of distribution can be changed (instead of Net value to net weight) by specifying an appropriate routine in the Pricing Procedure , in the "Alt cond base value" field for the condition type HB00.

Those Header condition , which are also activated as "Group condition", they are only distributed.

RB00 is only marked as Header condition.

But, HB00 is marked as Header condition as well as activated as "Group condition".

That is why HB00 is distributed and RB00 is not distributed (it is copied).

Here, we have Condition types marked as only "Header" & Condition types marked as "Header / Item".

in first case, Amount will be distributed among the line items & in other, amount will be copied into all items.

in first case,

Eg: If you are offering Discount at document level (Header level) which has 2 line items- 100/- (assumes fixed amount of discount ).

Total Document value: 10,000/-

Line item 01 - net value - 6000/- (60% contribution in Total doc value)

Lien item 02 - Net value - 4000/- (40% Contribution in Total doc value)

Total allowed discount: 100/-

then in

line item 01 - 60 (60% of 100 = 60)

Line item 02- 40 (40% of 100=40)

header amount will be distributed.

eg:

case 1: HD00 (as said above by other mate)

case2: KA04/KA05 - Promotional Discounts.

hope it helps

Hi,

HEADER & ITEM CONDITION differs in Following.

1. HEADER Condition applies for all the Items in the document

2. HEADER Condition does not have Access sequence

3. HEADER Conditions are maintained Manually while processing the documents and Item can maintain Manually as well as with condition records

4. The HEADER condition will have a FLAG as Header in the V/06 transaction and item will have ITEM flag.

The Value of the Header is distributed to the ITEM based on the CALCULATION TYPE in the V/06

For Example if you look at HD00 which is freight condition, it will distributed to all the items based on the Weight.

Hope it is clear,

thanks,

santosh
