SAP PI/XI Integration with Biometric systems

Dear Experts,

We have come up with a requirement , where we need to capture Biometric systems or Electronic encoded systems information into SAP using PI / XI.

Please let me know , If any one has worked in similar kind of requirement.

in case you need to store biometric data you should you SAP AII and not SAP XI/PI

as SAP PI/XI just passes the data from one system to another

and SAP AII is for storing such data

Thanks for your inputs.

Here , I want to use SAP PI as a middle ware between SAP SCMS system and BioMetric ( third party) systems.

I would like to know, whether PI has any adapter, which reads biometric information from third party system into SAP SCMS system.

Hi Vijayabhaskar,

It depends upon how the data goes into/ comes out of a Biometric system.

Infiormation, like, what type of file or what protocol of communication is used etc, would be useful to determine the type of adapter to be used.

Hi

1) what will be the data format of Biometric system?

2) Biometric will be treated as Third party system...data will come in flat file...pls check the format.

3) Upload data from flat file to SAP using Proxies/idocs/RFCs...
