J2ee engine visual administrator login console

Hello,

I have installed WAS installation along with the portal 6 sp4.I am trying to login into the visual admin console (go.bat file ), first time, which is provided as part of the WAS preview installation. First of all I donot have any default settings show up in the login console. So I created a new one. On the first selection screen, not knowing which one to select, I selected 'Direct connection to a dispatcher node'. The properties I have listed are,

User Name: Administrator

host: localhost

Port: 50000

Then I get the password screen. After typing in the password with the above settings, I get an error 'com.sap.engine.services.security.exceptions.BaseLoginException:Cannot create new RemoteLoginContext'.

If I choose other option 'Lookup connection via Message server' , I donot even get the password screen to login.

Any idea how do I solve this error ?

Hi Swami!

The standard port used to connect to the visual admin console is 50004, not 50000.
