UDS Response Very Slow

HI All,

I am posting on SDN after really long time.

We are trying to connect to PHD throigh UDS ( Which is intalled on xMII Box)

We are having some kind of Performanse issue here, the repsonse time from Query Template is really long , more than 10 mins for single Tag in History Mode.

We are using UDS 4.0 and xMII 11.5.

What possibly we are missing in UDS confirguration we dont know,

10 minutes seems quite long - how many Tags are you requesting, and what is your RowCount? Are you requesting an unusually long date range?

Suresh : There is no firewall between UDS and PHD, I think the tags that we were interogating were vertual Tags.

Jeremy: I was Quering only 2 tags with all other default settings in query Template.

We changed the Mode in UDS intacse from None to Alias and Created Aliases for the Tags which we are interested in.

With this, the performance is really good, I am not sure what is the difference between the mode, and are there any limitations which we may face in future with Mode as Alias.

Rupesh,

Can you ping the PHD machine from the UDS installed system.

Let me know what is PHD, is it Pi Historian. If it is Pi try to query the tags there itself.

Is there any firewall inbetween which might be creating the problem
