Error during deployment of sap.com/CAF

I am having trouble installing the SP Stack 17 Java before i update my Solution Manager Instance to ENHP 1. Please assist if you can i am currently trying to add the Log file which i have looked through and i am unable to find anything myself please help ...

Hello Shambo,

Thanks for your reply, your notes where very insightful however they did not solve my issue. Instead they helped me find out that i was using an _incorrect version of the Java SDK_.

I tried a restart of the server and application with no luck as stated in note 1387233. The symptom in note 1159471 did not describe the problem that i was having.

The Java version I was using was j2sdk1.4.2_18 x64 which has numerous stack overflow problems as stated by SAP Note 716604. The best version of Java is j2sdk1.4.2_23 and is what solved my problem. I upgraded Java, change OS environment variables, and instance profile to the upgraded Java home. Restarted the server and JSPM and the deployment was then successful.

P.S most of my time was spent looking for the latest version of the SDK so the link below is where to download Java for SAP.

Hi ,

I think this is related to memory issue.

Please refer below notes. This might help you.

Note 1387233 - Server is running but RMI_P4 or HTTP could not reach it.

Note 1159471 - JSPM hangs after scanning inbox
