Installion of Sneak NW04s stuck at last

Former Member

Hello everybody.

By installing the sneak preview of Netweaver 2004s i've got a little problem.

During phase 'Check DDIC password' i get this error message

> ERROR 2006-05-21 10:41:44

> CJS-30056 Password for user 'DDIC/000' is empty.

RETRY and a complete restart of the installation didn't fix it.

Status:

- DB is up and running

- SAP is up and running

- Logon for users DDIC and BCUSER works with correct password

Anyone got an idea?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Login to your ABAP system. Change the DDIC password to 19920706 in SU01, retry for instalaltion. Change back your DDIC password.

Hi,

There may be problem with XML data. Try to keep the default password for DDIC until the phase is completed.

Sometimes, if the password is changes for DDIC at first logon then the SAPINST may fail.

Try locating the password in the control.xml or keydb.xml and retry the phase.

If you think that except this all the other steps are completed successfully, then try to ignore this phaze with "OK" status and see if it works.

Thanks

Hello Michael.

Thanks for your suggestion.

User DDIC and BCUSER are valid, and they've got the standard password in client 000. My sneak preview is running fine. Nevertheless, the installation doesn't come to the right end.

So, what is missing,

WARNING[E] 2006-05-27 13:33:11

FRF-00007 Unable to open RFC connection.

ERROR 2006-05-27 13:33:12

ERROR 2006-05-27 13:33:12

Well, as i said, the system is running well, but i don't know which installation steps are missing.

The error seems to indicate that DDIC in client 000 has no password. Try "SAPup -H", it may help.
