webdynpro ABAP in ECC 6.0 version

Hi to all,

I am trying to create one simple webdynpro application but In view layout I don't able to see elements.

Can anybody please tell the possible reasons behind it and how to solve this?

hi ,

in ur Web dynpro component

1 double click on the view

2 go to the Layout tab in the view

3 On the very RHS , under CONTEXT_MENUS , there is a root element container

4 right click on the root element container and choose insert element

5 u can give appropriate type , eg if u wish to insert Button , u cn give type as Button and Id

check out for the naming conventions , different layouts while designing the layout with UI elements in ur view

Hi thanks for what you tried to explain but the problem is I don't able to see the element on the screen I can creat the element through "rootelementcontainer" but don't able to see as well as I can not able to test the existing applications also.

So please let me know as soon as possible if you can.

after u r done with ur layout and coding , did u save (cntrl +s ) , check ( cntrl + F2) and activated (cntrl+f3)

ur component .thn right click on ur component , create application for the same , save and activate

now u shud be able to run ur WD ABAP component

Hi amit my query has been solved.

There was some configuration problem in the server , So basis people has solved.

Are you able to see empty View in the Layout Tab ?

If so , then towards right, there is separate space where ROOTUIELEMENTCONTAINER is lying.

If you got that then rigth click it and insert element.

If you are not able to see empty View in Layout, got to layout, there is a button at top - SHOW/Hide Layout Preview. Click on this.
