Install problem on XP: database connect errors

During a standalone installation of SAP Netweaver 2004s on WindowsXP Pro, the

following error occurs on Phase 17 of 24(Import ABAP):

An error occurred while processing service

SAP Netweaver 2004s > Lifecycle Management > System Copy>MaxDB

>Target System > Central System > Based on AS-ABAP . Central System Installation.

You may now

  • press Retry

  • press the View Log button

stop the task

reset your input fht the current task. In this case, SAPinstl will permanently remove all

installation files from your installation directory. This gives you the opportunity to

restart from scratch.

Log files are written to:

C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/NW04S/LM/COPY/ADA/SYSTEM/CENTRAL/AS-ABAP/.

Here is the error message from the log:
