Error in Contract Smartform - BBP_CONTRACT

Hello,

When we generate an output preview for contracts coming from shopping cart we are getting "Error while processing smartform".

We did not do any customization in the standard smartform for contract - BBP_CONTRACT.

But when contracts are directly created (not coming from shopping cart or bid) we are able to generate the output preview.

We are on SRM 5.0 , SP13.

can you check in the transaction 'smartforms' whether the smartform is active?

if you are using custom smartforms , please check whether they are active in your system

for contracts we use the standard smartform BBP_CONTRACT.

we did not use a custom smartform for contract.

Is it local contract or GOA contract?

1364989 Smartform BBP_CONTRACT times out on account of looping

Do you have acrobat (pdf) software in your machine?

do you have long texts in the contracts or every purchaser is having this problem?

is that contract released?

all contract has ths problem?

How amny items in the contract?

Hello Muthu,

Yes acrobat pdf reader was installed in the machine as we were able to generate an output preview (pdf) for directly created contracts. However, for contracts coming from shopping cart, output preview is not working due to error in smartform. The exact error displayed in the screen is "error while processing smartform".

We have checked SAP Note 1364989 but hesitant to apply the note since we tried removing the long text maintained in the document but still the error occurred.

Also even if the contract is released or not yet released same error occurred, and this happens only to contracts created from shopping cart and bid. For directly created contracts, we were able to generate the output preview (pdf).

Did you encounter this also?

i do have the same issue Keiza

do you get any reply from SAP on this.

learnt that GOA has some long texts and more attachments caused this issue. not able to print GOA.

impleemented this 1364989 .but no use for my problem.. any help is appreciated.
