Deleting files in \global\<sid>JOBLG directory

Hi,

We have millions of files located in our \global\<sid>JOBLG directory and can't seem to delete them using either RSBTCDEL or RSBTCDEL2. I have set the following:

Job Name = *

User Name = *

Finished = Older than 14 days

Canceled = Older than 14 days

Test run is unselected and when running RSBTCDEL i have selected "Force Mode"

Is there something else I should be running?

These files date back a few years and we have done a few System Copies (don't know if thats helpfull or not)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Rob

SAP notes:

6604 Deleting job logs at operating system level

16513 File system is full - what do I do?

48400 Reorganization of TemSe and Spool

666290 Deleting "orphaned" job logs

you can delete all orphaned job logs files using RSTS0043.

Check out also other program like RSBTCDEL2 , RSTS0024

cheers,

Hi Vincent,

Running RSTS0043 has fixed the problem. The files are being deleted from the OS

Many many thanks for your help.

Thanks again

Rob

Hi Rob

are you running RSBTCDEL in dialog mode? If not please run that report with your selection in dialog mode

When I use RSBTCDEL after every system copy, I maintain

Start Date----> Older than X days

Finish Date----> Older than X days

Status--> Finished 'X' and Cancelled 'X' with force mode option and then run the dialog mode
