Hi everyone.

I'm really lost.

I'm trying to install DMS (document mangement system), when I call transaction CV03N, I'm getting following message error:

Function "" not possible if network address is "DEFAULT"

Procedure

As the variable "hostname" is not set for your frontend computer, you cannot use this function.

The data carrier type of your frontend computer is determined automatically by the system. The system uses the data carrier type for which the network address "DEFAULT" is defined.

How can I set "hostname"?

Hello,

You need to maintain the 'HOSTNAME' variable in the systems' variables of your Windows front-end PC.

Hi Juan Bañuelos,

This problem is shown due to data carrier configuration. To solve this please follow this menu path;

Go to transation code DC20 -> select define data carrier type, "server, front end" -> select your data carrier type -> click on identify frontend computer --> click on default entry and save it.

I'm attaching the screenshot here. Hope it will work properly.
