Hi SDNers
The repsitory at present is Matrix enabled . All the individual field matrix are set as Normal. A record was created using " Add Master" option in Data Manager instead of using " Add" option. No variants were created . I am not able to delete the record. The delete option is grayed out. Can you please suggest any workaround .

HI,
You cannot delete master from your data manager screen. Matrix functionality works in conjunction with your portal application. once done it can be deleted in the portal application only visible when you go to "web" tab on DM.
1. You need to install following .ear files
MDMMatrix_App.ear and MDMMatrix Server.ear on your portal application.
2. Hope you have maintained a taxonomy and defined variants.in the taxonomy tab.
Once you create a master by going on record tab, go to "web" tab,click on the record. you 'll see a portal window in DM. There you'll have option to delete the master.
Please go through this link on how to create a master and variant and setting you need to maintain to work on matrix application.

We are not maintaining any variants in the Taxonomy mode . A business user accidentally used the option ADD MASTER option in stead of using ADD option. Thus the record got lagged as Master. We ned to delete those records. In our Project scope we are not using any Matrix functionality.

Hi,
please check in CONSOLE-->ADMIN that your role has "DELETE" access. If yes then you should be able to do that. Otherwise log out from data manager and try again.
This may allow you to delete.

Does your MDM role has enough authorization to delete any record(s) in MDM?
