LM00 - no scanning possible

Former Member

Hello everyone.

We are trying to use standard RF transaction (LM00 and etc.) on mobile terminals Motorola MC9090.

We use standard built-in Internet Explorer browser. OS is Windows Mobile 5.0

The problem is that when a cursor is in input field (for example, material number),

and we try to scan the value, no scanner beam is appeared.

In the test application scanning is correct, but in the IE we can not do it.

We tried to use both ITSMobile and SAPConsole.

Please advise something about this issue.

Hello Alexey,

Are you testing with the sap/bc/gui/sap/its/test/mobile/itsmobile01 service? On some browsers the scanning feature needs to be activated before it will work. Please look through your documentation for the MC9090 and the version of IE being used.

Hello Edgar!

We have installed DataWedge and scanningis possible now. We have another problem.

We use standard Internet Explorer built in OS to start the service ZLM00.

When we run ZLM00 service on Mobile terminal, we cannot use Function Keys (like F3-BACK, F4-NEXT).

We can use them only by pressing them on the touchscreen, but when we try to press F3 or F4 on keyboard, nothing happens.

We tried to include parameter ~DEVICEINCLUDE in our service, like it is done in test service itsmobile01.

This did not help.

Our terminal is Motorola MC9090. OS is Windows Mobile 5.0 (Build 15706.3.5.2).

We tried to run this service on desktop PC in Windows IE, everything works fine there.

Could you please explain how we can get Function Keys working on Windows Mobile Internet Explorer?

Hello Alexey,

You will need to find documentation for the browser your devices are using. The deviceinclude will need to have the meta key mapping configured correctly for it to work. Some browser do NOT support META tags for the key mapping, thus the Function keys will not work.
