Which development environment to install?

Hi

We're running an Enterprise Portal 7.0 SP17.

We have developed applications based on both PAR and WebDynpro for Java development using NW Developer Workplace connecting to our NW Development Infrastructure.

Now we need to setup a new development machine to replace our current Developer Workplace and it seems that I now have two choises.

I can install Developer Workplace again or I can install Composisiton Environment.

Are they the same?

If not, which should I install?

And do I need to install a specific version?

Hi,

Composition Environment (CE) is not for Netweaver 2004s/EP 7.0. CE is the next version of Netweaver 04s.

The projects developed using NWDS 7.1 cannot be deployed directly into Netweaver 2004s WAS.
