We have performed an upgrade from WEB AS 640 to NW04s sr1 (700)on our BW system running on Solaris 10/Oracle 10.2. We cannot logon to visual administrator. The error message is “cannot open connection on port 50004” We have change the J2EE_Admin password in config tool and the problem still exist. Also we cannot logon to the default page …http://34.226.225.43:50000/ or any of the default portal pages. Can anyone assist?

We are not able to connect to the message server..jcmon give the error can not connect to the message server. The message port is 3901.

Do you have any furhter information in the logs?

\usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS00\j2ee\cluster\server0\log

Also, is there any information on the logs in trx smicm?

Have you activated the SICF? run RSXMB_ACTIVATE_ICF_SERVICES in se38?
