Order of SAP ABAP Classes

I recently spoke with a System Integrator a trade show and he said that it is better to take BC430 (ABAP Dictionary) before BC400 (ABAP Workbench).

Is this a good or a bad idea?

In my case, I had BC400 before BC430. You will not get lost in BC400 if you don't have dictionary knowledge. I would assume that it may help you understand more(quicker) in BC400. I would suggest following the track as SAP has designed it. They did it for a reason.
