Hi,

As part of operations support process and error handling, we are planning to propose Sol man.

The objective that need to be achieved is;

1. Monitoring of XI/PI interfaces

2. Forwarding of the messages caught by the alert framework to sol man

3. Ticketing - The alerts received should be logged as a ticket and the operation support should be able to add details to the resolution step taken.

will the above be achieved?

Also will solution manager be able to monitor for other systems in the landscape say ecc, the application server/ WAS etc?

Appreciate some detailed inputs on this.

Regards,

Shabz

you can configure your XI based CCMS by #824039 and connect the local-XI CCMS agent to our SolMan System Monitoring WorkCenter.

You can also define your XI BP and monitor that vi BPM

If you have IM properly configured you can certainly created an incident through your BPM

Dear Shabarish,

First connect your XI system to your solman system in SMSY and create the necesaary RFCs and activate the monitoring through DSWP.

1. Go to solman_directory and activate the monitoring for your interface and business process. You can select the existing interfaces or BPs or can create your own there.

2. Connect your CCMS architecture to solman by assigning your RFCs for solution monitoring. Once this is done properly, you can see the default alert monitoring and activate them. Even you can activate your created alerts.

3. Configure your service desk. Then you can create issues or messages based on the alerts.

Hope this answers you.
