Storage condition issue

We have a situation where we determine storage location automatically in delivery using OVL3.

The system is working fine for one plant, but if the material is extended to other Plant & if we enter different storage condition, the changes are affecting to all the plants

e.g

Material Plant Sto. Cond.

X ABCD 10

X EFGH 20

Now our problem is the system is changing the Storage condition in in Material master for Plant ABCD also

I have done small testing reg ur post,

Fields in General data/ Shelf life data- in Plant/Storage location data in Material Master is Material Specific, but not Plant & Storage location specific.

Inclduing Temp Cond's / Shelf life etc..,

Hi

If you have extended the MMR to different plants (Assume 2 plants) and if the storage conditions are different then system will confirm sales orders schedule line based on shipping conditions also. Even if any backroders are there then system will confirm the sales orders based on the shipping conditions only.But the main reason why it is affecting the plants are those plants might have been assigned to the same sales area and the same enterprise structure also These are the reasons it is affecting the other plants also.

Can you go through the post again, Its regarding Storage location determination-

not about order confirmation.

-coming to the issue,

though storage conditions are different for one material in multiple plants, system has to determine storage location based on combination , as we all know:

Shipping Point / Plant / storage cond = storage loc-

Here in your post,

I am just thinking about, why you are maintain different storage conditions in different plant.

eg: if one material is recommended to maintain under specific conditions, it has to store in that conditions only. means here thought plant might be different,but storage conditions should be same.

for testing,

try with the same storage conditions in different plant & check whether storage location determined as needed r not?

meanwhile, i will also do testing-
