Can we run SRM 7.0 without SAP Identity Management?

We plan to run SRM 7.0 but we do not plan to have Identity Management.

Is that possible?

At the same time, we have MDM5.0. Is that possible to use MDM instead of IM?

Yes you can use SRM7.0 without IM.

SAP NetWeaver Identity Management helps companies to centrally manage their user accounts (identities) in a complex system landscape. I am not sure what you mean when you said you will use MDM instead? MDM will be used to manage hosted catalog in SRM landscape.
