Hi,

Shipment creation for internal transfer

I want to do 1000 tons of shipment in 25 tons lot. so total 1000/25 = 40 lots.

But it is so much time consuming because of the following steps.

a) Create PO ME21N

b) Purchase Order Item Schedule line VL10F, this creates the delivery and is time consuming because you enter the same information 40 times.

c) VT01N Create shipment, again the same information is entered 40 times.

d) VT11, Assign a Haulier again the same information is entered 40 times.

Does anybody can help me how can i do this in one step?

I do not think you can combine all these steps.

I assume you are doing stock transport orders between plants for the internal transfer. If so you could remove the shipping steps by using a different delivery type that was not transport relevant. You could also use one step stock transport order if you want to skip the goods receipt at the receiving plant.

Thanks for your reply. But i want to capture the shipment cost because goods are sending from one place to another place by some transportation means.

Does anyone can answar this i am still waiting?

Hi,

If you need the shipment process, you need to follow the above mentioned steps.

What you can do is that you can automate the Shipment creation process and Shipment cost calculation by some development which can be like a single transaction and performing the Shipment Document creation and Shipment Cost calculation in background.
