What a basis admin can do for business objects?

I get confused about BO at reading.

For example, what is the relationship between "BusinessObjects Enterprise (BOE) XI 3.1" and PI (3.0, 7.0, 7.1)?

Would you please direct me to some sdn blogs about BO and what a basis person can help? Especially

the blogs about install and configuring BO.

Hi,

Basis Admin responsiblilty is to install BO and connect it to BI system. This is mainly for reporting purpose.

Would you please tell how to configure the connection between BO and SAP (e.g. BI)?

Crystal report is one BO, any other BO?

Crystal Report is a product of BusinessObject company. Now BO is acuired by SAP.

Xcelsius is also a product of BO.
