Error: Web Dynpro Generation: Metadata violated

HI,

I'm trying to migrate our Web Dynpro Projekt from 7.0 to 7.1 CE.

I followed the steps from the migration Cheat Sheet and the SAP document "Migrating Web Dynpro Applications From SAP Netweaver 7.0 to CE 7.1"

After the migration, I get following error when I build the DC:

Web Dynpro Generation: Metadata constraint of Component MyComponent is violated: ComponentControllerUsage "//WebDynpro/Component:com.mycompany.mycomponent.MyComponent/ComponentUsage:CrmFunctions/ComponentControllerUsage:Configuration", Role "UsedComponentController": A minimum of 1 object(s) is required

I can't even open any Java Files, there are only the GUI View available for the Component Controller.

Can somebody give me a hint, what I have done wrong?

Hi Peter,

Welcome to SDN!

Probably you missed to add the component usage for my component.

Open Web Dynpro Explorer -> Open Component -> Select and right click on Used Web Dynpro Components -> Add Used Component -> Give Name CrmFunctions , browse and select the required component ( I guess Configuration )

Rebuild the DC. Feel free to revert in case of any issues.
