customer - material info record

HI,

I want to know that,

can we maintain 'the information that is specific to when a certain customer orders a certain product' in the customer - material info record?

If not in customer material then where can we maintain it?

If anybody knows then please let me know.

hi,

'the information that is specific to when a certain customer orders a certain product'

this is the functionality of CMIR(customer-material info record)

if you maintain any data in CMIR,this gets more priority than customer and material master data.

priority for master data

1, CMIR

2, Material master data

3,customer master data

I have looked into the customer material Info record but I could not get any field which can maintain this information.('the information that is specific to when a certain customer orders a certain product' )

hi,

goto vd51 enter customer,sales org, distri.channel

enter,

enter material and cust material

select the line item and select info record details,

now you can maintain the following

plant,delivery priority,Minimum delivery qty,Part.dlv./item,Max.Part.Deliveries,Item usage etc

Yes in fact, system will give first priority to VD51 only when you create sale order.

Dear Friend,

Another option is Item Proposal / Product Proposal.

Here you can maintain a List of Products & Quantities, which a Customer frequently buys & this list can be proposed in Sales Order as a pop-up as soon as you enter Customer Code.

But for all other Customer specific material Info, VD51 (Customer Material Info Record) is the best option...

Yes we can maintain information for material which are customer specific at Customer-Material Info record at T code VD51.
