storage location to warehouse management

how to convert a storage location to warehouse .is it possible to assign a plant and warehouse without storagelocation.?

Its possible to assign the warehouse without storage location to the plant for the material whicle entend the wm views.

Hi

Simple answer is NO

You need to use a Plant - Sloc - Warehouse combination.

You GR at Sloc level and the put away is done at WM level.

The majority of 'decisions' for WM are made at IM (SLOC) level such as GR, Goods issue, scrapping, shipping, status change (Q to S to Unrestricted etc) these are then completed at WM level.

Your mat docs are at IM level.

You create warheouse number & assign it to storage location.You have to assign warehouse number to Plant & storage location.

What is your requirement ?

plant and storage location is linked to warehouse

in spro when you provide this link this will be WM managed.

you need to maintain respective views in material master
