Block Line items in sales order with no confirmation and auth check

Hi.

We have a requirement to block some line items ( hold for review ) in a sales order while allowing other line items to be delivered. In the standard SAP system, a schedule line block is possible, but it does not remove the confirmation for the line item. Also, we would like only some authorized people to be able to remove the block.

Would appreciate suggestions from the forum

We have made an enhancement which removes the confirmed quantities if a block is applied at the schedule line level.

Thank you for your responses. We could do a reason for rejection, but would not like to go down that path since the item is not classically rejected and it may show up in the rejection reports or give wrong information. We wanted to use a delivery block and remove confirmations for the line item. Standard SAP does not operate this, but would appreciate inputs from the esteemed members if anyone has done this before.

Hi,

For a this kind of scenario what we do it create a separate Rejection Reason as "Hold for Review" and assign that to relevant sales order line items.

Then in your rejection report; change your report logic to eliminate such sales order line items with "Hold for Review" rejection reason. So that no confusions will come.

Along with the above suggestion of Rejection reason, u can control this reason for rejection by allowing only certain users to remove the block by having a authorization check, either directly with help of BASIA or through the user exit MV45Afzz.

HI,

You can do it with a "Rejection Reason" in the Line Item level.

But once you set a Rejection reason, that line item will not be considered for MRP, Delivery or for anything. Confirmation also removed.
