Unable to start EHPI on Windows

Hello All,

Good day.

We are currently configuring our SAP ERP 6.0 into Enhancement Package 4.

We're not able to start the EHPI using http://<localhost>:4239, it doesn't launh the EHPI gui.

I have used jce_policy-1_5_0.zip (note 1240081) since this is the first time we have used the EHPi.

Iam having the same issue , Iam trying PI EHP upgrade , on unix envronment ,

Initial step of starting the upgrade.

What operating system is that and as which user are you trying to execute EHPI?

We are using Window 64bit and I am using <sid>adm.

What's the exact command line you executed?

Hello Markus,

We are using Windows 2003, here's the command I use:

installation directory:

<drive>:\tmp\EHP\EPHI\STARTUP.BAT "jce_policy_zip=jce_policy-1_5_0.zip"

But after executing the said command, and trying to launch an I.E using url http://<hostname>:4239, it shows nothing.

Hi Alcala,

Check whether the ports are opened from your deskop.

Hi ,

As this is windown system so first step you did is correct i mean ::

tmp\EHP\EPHI\STARTUP.BAT "jce_policy_zip=jce_policy-1_5_0.zip"

this will start batch program for ehpi.After this ther is mandatory step to start GUi is to go to EHPI\sdt\exe & to click on DSUGui.bat to be able to get GUI for ehpi.

I hope this will help you out to resolve your issue.

I got the following error when I tried to execute DSUGui.bat.

Please refer below:

Error while connecting to communication partner - see preceeding messages.

Could not connect to host sapecc01 on port 4241.

Thank you for all your reply.

Please take this question as resolved.

Just to share the exact command to execute to avoid the problem in starting up the gui..

<drive>:\EHPI\STARTUP.BAT "jce_policy_zip=exact path of your jce policy file"

For your Policy file please check - Note 1240081 - "Java Cryptography Extension Jurisdiction Policy" files.
